Challenge November Day 18

Breakfast (09:00):

Normal breakfast. Not particularly hungry, but hungry enough to warrant some food.

Had a couple more nibbles of sultanas than actually went into my breakfast bowl. Ate while reading In the Land of Invisible Women (Qanta Ahmed).

Lunch (13:05):

I held off eating until I was finished playing on the computer. This meant that by the time it came around to lunch I was famished. We had some left overs that needed to be eaten, so I fried some steak in butter, steamed kale and cauliflower and had cold roast sweet potato. I was going to climb later on, so I ate more carbohydrate than normal.

I ate at the kitchen table, reading In the Land of Invisible Women (Qanta Ahmed) and eating slowly. It was a really good lunch and I loved the steak cooked in butter. Yum.

I was very full after lunch, and rushed out to go climbing.

So my problem is that I leave it too long to eat. I was starving by the time I got in to cook dinner. I need to find a way to control my ravenous hunger, which is all consuming when cooking.

 So, after eating loads of snacks (including 2 whole handfuls of pork scratchings. Yum.) I finally had dinner. It was not that tasty – the cauliflower had lost all taste as it was quite old and was watery. The steak I overcooked and the parsnips were pretty good.

I had the two glasses of wine because the bottle needed to be finished off. Neither were that big, but not exactly necessary.

I really didn’t need the slice of cake, but it also needed to be finished and it tasted so, so good!
